Marilyn Monroe

I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Giving thanks for...

After pondering for a while, giving thanks for life would be my most precious act of gratitude. First of all, I give thanks to God for my life, including my family, food, home, friends, health and many more. Cognizant, I believe that without God's helping hand, I would not be who I am today. All my achievements and goals in life are thanks to God and one other special person. My mother, Damaris, is worthy of gratitude. I give her thanks for my education, my values, my dreams, my determination in life and making me astute, dauntless and perspicacious. She has sacrificed herself every year, providing my most important needs. At times, forgetting about her needs. Giving thanks for support, companionship and affability, I owe it to Gustavo. He is more than my boyfriend; he is my best friend. He's been there at good and bad times, and supports me no matter the circumstance. The reasons I would give thanks for are endless because every blessing of life is worthy of gratitude.

Analysis Paragraph

Obesity in children

An excerpt from the Department of Health shows that children obesity is rising day by day. The overweight in children twelve years old or younger is related to junk food and deficiency of exercise. Children now a days, do not like to eat vegetables or fruits, and prefer the tasty fried foods and the sweet candies. Parents buy their children snack high in salt and sugar that increases the fat in their bodies. In addition to junk food, children are not getting enough exercise to burn the extra fat in their body. The parent's example is very important because it incites the children's behavior. Not that the physiognomy is the most important aspect of a person's apparel or that children should be emaciated but overweight affects the children's health. Children must eat conscientiously because obesity causes future problems like diabetes, high cholesterol and heart deficiency. Children must immerse themselves in positive culinary habits and daily exercises.

Free: Gratitude

Evasively, every day people forget all the blessings they have in life. They forget to give thanks for all the good and bad things they experience. Gratitude is a fervent feeling that encourages the expression of appreciation for and to return kindness. Young men and women are only grateful one day in the year. This day is named with a trite remark, Thanks-giving Day. Gratitude should be shown every day no matter the circumstances, good or bad. People may be grateful for the food they eat, the house they live in, the family that loves them and all the other blessings they can appreciate in their lives.

Gratitude vanishes feelings of animosity, hostility and disliking. Nevertheless, many people are insensible towards the persons that are good to them. They dissemble their true feelings, hiding their hearts. This does not mean they have no heart, but they do not demonstrate their loved ones how much they love them and are grateful for. Every day we should be thankful for all the blessings we can experience, but it is very important to express the gratefulness to those who contribute to those blessings.

Free: Friendship

According to the New Oxford American Dictionary, the word friend means a person whom one knows and with whom one has a bond of mutual affection. Personally, friendship is a bond between two people, who know each other deeply and support themselves in good and bad times. Friendship is important for the development of a person. It is no detrimental relationship. This kind of relationship builds in a person trust, loyalty, respect, forgiveness, honesty and love. The experiences we live with friends make us learn many things, including values.

How do we learn values in a friendship? Trust must always be present between friends because they share secrets and personal stuff. Loyalty is important in a friendship because friends must support each other, even though how different they are. We can not talk bad about those who we call friends and neither get exasperated when things don't go as planned. A real friendship is not braggart, haughty or ostentatious. It is simple and honest. At the same time, we must maintain respect for the way of thinking of our friends. Friends should be respected, to receive back the respect. Honesty should not miss, and when one of the friends fails, forgiveness must not be forgotten. Love is one of the most important and resumes all of them together. As the Bible says: "Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres."

Friendship is necessary for a person's development as part of the society. The values we acquire with friends are put into practice in the daily life of a person. All of these values develop a person's self-esteem, which is very important for reaching his or her goals. But watch out, a friendship can sometimes be pernicious if people don't know how to choose them.

Free: Love

"Meeting you was fate, becoming your friend was a choice, but falling in love was beyond my control". This is the beginning of an exultant relationship. Most people think they must find love but the truth is love finds them. There is no need of seeking love because when the adequate time arrives, she or he will meet that one companion who would surcease all sadness. That companion will be immediately characterized by some qualities that will make him o her unique and compatible.

Everybody's match is different and will fulfill the other one's needs. Envy is not an acceptable feeling in a relationship. It should be bursting with trust, honesty, friendship, loyalty and it will never be banal. That person will be by his or her side unconditionally no matter the circumstance. She or he will know everything about the other; how they feel, what are they thinking, what is the best for the other, etc. Disputations will be minute compared with the love they feel for each other. Devotion will characterize their relationship. Passion will maintain the spark of their love alive.

Patience is the key for a healthy relationship. That one person will arrive when God says the time is right. Everyone's soul mate, as people call them, is unique in it's own way. Just wait for him or her to arrive, and when that day comes, don't let him or her go away. "To have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part".

Compare and Contrast Paragraph

India and Saudi Arabia's Culture

People often generalize that India and Saudi Arabia's typical culture are very similar from one another. Nevertheless, they are more different than they know. When it comes down to men and women's roll in society, they are very alike. Women's roll is to marry a man, which marriage is arranged, take care of the household and raise their children. They must do as their husband says and never assume an intolerant position towards him. Men are most of the time paternal giving them the roll of working and providing their families the necessary. They are the jauntily leader of the family; therefor they make almost all the decisions. Otherwise, these countries differ in many more aspects, like their traditions. In India, they believe in a joint family system, where extended members of the family live together. Logically, men are only aloud to marry one woman, which would accompany them until death. In Saudi Arabia, men and not married women must be separate at all times. That is why; there must be separate sections for both genders in places for reunion or celebration. Men are aloud to have several wives, very feat of them, living all together under the same roof. India and Saudi Arabia are different too, in their religion. India is a polytheistic country, where Hinduism and Buddhism are the main religions; different from Saudi Arabia, that is monotheistic having as their official religion, the Islam. Examine these countries' proverbial mottos:

India: "Truth alone triumphs",

Saudi Arabia: "There is no god other than Allah".
